A weekend at the Petit Quenneval farm

Saturday 25th and sunday 26th of march 2017.

The farm of the Petit Quenneval

After few days in Lille, this WE, we are going on the countryside. Hélène brings me to her brothers and his girlfriend who have goat farm called “ferme du Petit Quenneval” located in Wirwignes (North of France).

The program of the WE is easy, helping to fix the new roof of the greenhouse, petting the goats, trying to give a usefull hands concerning the farm works, eating cheeses and enjoying the sun!!

I don’t need to write more about it, I think that photos are talking by themselves 🙂 !

Really nice WE.

Market of Boulogne-sur-Mer

In order to make you drool over a bit more, on sunday morning, Hélène and I went to join Arnaud who was on the market since early hours to sell cheeses.

We bought some good products for the dinner tonight with Hélène’s roomates, without forgetting to by one of the most important things you can find in this market : the famous handmade waffles with brown sugar and rum. Yum-yum!!

Then we went wandering and found a nice place to have a pic nic all together.

The WE was great I can admit that.

On the way back to Lille, we stopped to Hélène’s parent, where I had the oppotunity to taste birch’s sap that they harvest in their own garden and which is well known for the benefits it can provide. Finally, I even had a nice gift from her mother, a nice travelling size fig marmelade jar… That means good breakfasts in perspective!!
