My first hitchhiking solo experience

The travel has to begin somewhere… So why not with my first hitchhiking experience… and in solo please!
With a storm alert and non-stop rains announced by the weather broadcast for the entire day…

Meteo France weather alert for february the 3rd 2017

Today :

  • I travelled from Lorient to Paris hitchhiking and using RER (suburb trains)
  • I wrote my first hitchhicking sign thanks to the marker that my mother took from her company the same morning for me (I promise that I’ll bring it back to Lorient)
  • I took 4 different vehicles : 2 vans, 1 small truck, 1 big truck (a real one with a fridge and a place to sleep for the driver and many accessories everywhere, a real tiny flat)
  • I crossed 487 km hitchhiking (Lanester – Lisses)
  • I met :

* Louis-Marie : his head is full of projects with micro-farms in permaculture and who made a detour to come back to me to bring me to Ploërmel
* Daniel : soldier and Solex collector
* Fabien : who had never take any hitchhiker before in his life
* Alexandre and his colleague Fred (who was following us in his own truck) : they spend their time with me trying to find the best solution to bring me the closest as they could to Paris respecting their driving itinerary

  • I realised my first travel selfie
On the road to Paris hitchhiking, to ask for my visas (02/2017)

PS : Please, excuse my face on the foto… But really it was raining all day! And at that time I already had hitchhiked during 6 hours this day.
